We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Representative with meaningful hands-on knowledge of concrete materials, admixtures, and finishing practices. This person will own technical sales and field support for a defined territory or region — driving product adoption, specification activity, and revenue growth across contractors, finishers, ready-mix producers, engineers, architects, and DOT stakeholders.
This is an early opportunity to join a mission-driven company on a strong growth trajectory, where your results will be visible, your voice will be heard, and the work you do directly advances both a high-performing business and a foundation dedicated to improving life for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Account Growth
· Own and grow a defined territory by identifying, pursuing, and closing new customer opportunities across the full E5 product line.
· Proactively engage concrete contractors and finishers, general contractors, ready-mix producers, engineers, architects, and DOT representatives to build a strong, qualified pipeline.
· Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to drive repeat business, account expansion, and specification pull-through.
· Lead sales conversations from discovery through close, translating technical product performance into clear commercial value for each audience — from field crews to project engineers.
· Identify upcoming projects early and position E5 solutions before bid, spec, or pour.
Technical Support & Field Execution
· Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned accounts — providing pre-pour guidance, jobsite support during concrete placement, and follow-up to ensure performance and satisfaction.
· Support ready-mix producers with mix design integration, dispenser installation guidance, and product handling best practices.
· Conduct product demonstrations and assist with concrete sample collection and processing as needed.
· Troubleshoot field concerns and product performance questions; escalate to internal technical resources when appropriate, while maintaining ownership of the customer relationship.
· Deliver and support technical presentations, lunch-and-learns, and spec sessions for engineers, architects, and project teams.
Pipeline Management & Sales Execution
· Maintain accurate and timely activity, account, and deal records in HubSpot.
· Build and manage opportunities through defined sales stages with clear next steps.
· Use ConstructConnect and other tools to identify projects, research prospects, and prioritize selling efforts.
· Track and report weekly sales metrics including activity, meetings, pipeline value, technical support engagements, and deal progression.
Market Presence & Brand Representation
· Represent E5 professionally in the field, at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and product demonstrations.
· Stay informed on local market trends, competitive admixture products, and evolving customer needs to inform sales strategy and product positioning.
Job Qualifications
· Construction industry experience required, with a strong understanding of how concrete projects are sold, specified, and executed.
· A minimum of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field — OR a minimum of 10 years of progressive concrete contracting, ready-mix, or admixture industry experience.
· 3+ years of experience in technical sales, field sales, or technical support within construction, concrete, building materials, or related industries.
· Strong working knowledge of concrete materials, admixture chemistry, mix design, and finishing practices.
· Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both field crews and engineering/specification audiences.
· Comfortable operating in a metrics-driven, CRM-focused sales environment (experience with HubSpot a plus).
· Self-directed, organized, and accountable for results with minimal supervision.
· Willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory; ability to work occasional evenings, early mornings, or weekends for job site support.
· Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
·
