Seminole Masonry is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Precast Wall Foreman to lead field crews responsible for the installation and erection of precast concrete wall systems on active construction jobsites. The Precast Wall Foreman is responsible for coordinating daily field activities, directing crew members, overseeing the safe erection and installation of precast wall panels, and ensuring work is completed according to project drawings, specifications, schedules, and company quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring experience with precast wall installation, rigging and erection activities, construction drawings, crew supervision, and jobsite safety. The Precast Wall Foreman serves as the primary field leader for the assigned crew and works closely with the General Superintendent, project management, crane operators, general contractors, and other trades.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and provide daily direction to field crews performing precast wall installation and erection.
Plan and coordinate daily work activities based on project schedules, installation sequences, jobsite conditions, and management direction.
Assign work to crew members and monitor completion, productivity, workmanship, and safety.
Review and interpret construction drawings, erection drawings, plans, specifications, and installation details.
Verify wall panel locations, layout, elevations, dimensions, connection points, and installation requirements before erection.
Coordinate the unloading, staging, rigging, hoisting, setting, and installation of precast concrete wall panels.
Direct crew members during precast wall erection to ensure panels are safely and accurately positioned.
Coordinate with crane operators and qualified rigging personnel during lifting and placement operations.
Ensure proper rigging practices, lifting procedures, and designated lifting points are followed.
Ensure precast wall panels are properly aligned, plumbed, leveled, braced, connected, and secured according to project requirements.
Verify temporary bracing is properly installed and maintained until permanent connections and structural requirements are completed.
Ensure connections, embeds, weld plates, anchors, bolts, grout, and other components are installed according to project drawings and specifications.
Oversee patching, grouting, caulking, finishing, and other field work associated with precast wall installation as required.
Inspect installed precast components for proper alignment, workmanship, damage, and compliance with project requirements.
Identify damaged panels, installation issues, drawing discrepancies, or quality concerns and immediately communicate them to the appropriate supervisor or project management.
Coordinate with Quality Control personnel as necessary to address product or installation concerns.
Monitor jobsite progress and communicate delays, material shortages, equipment needs, access issues, or other concerns that could affect the project schedule.
Coordinate deliveries and staging of precast components to maintain an efficient erection sequence.
Work closely with project management, General Superintendents, general contractors, crane operators, equipment operators, subcontractors, and other trades.
Ensure necessary tools, equipment, rigging, materials, and PPE are available for scheduled work.
Assist crew members with installation and other field work as necessary to maintain workflow and meet project deadlines.
Train and coach employees on proper precast installation methods, rigging awareness, equipment use, and safe work practices.
Monitor employee attendance, productivity, performance, and conduct while on the jobsite.
Complete required daily reports, time records, equipment inspections, safety documentation, and other jobsite paperwork accurately and timely.
Conduct and document toolbox talks, pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and other required safety activities.
Enforce all company, OSHA, general contractor, and jobsite safety requirements.
Ensure employees wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensure required fall-protection procedures and equipment are used when employees are exposed to fall hazards.
Identify unsafe conditions or work practices and take immediate action to correct or control hazards.
Stop work when conditions present an immediate safety risk and notify the appropriate supervisor.
Immediately report accidents, injuries, near misses, property damage, equipment damage, and significant safety concerns according to company procedures.
Maintain safe work zones during precast erection and ensure employees remain clear of suspended loads and other recognized hazards.
Ensure company tools, vehicles, rigging, equipment, and materials are properly used, inspected, secured, and maintained.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and effective communication among field employees.
Communicate employee performance, attendance, disciplinary, or other personnel concerns to management and/or Human Resources as appropriate.
Represent Seminole Masonry professionally when interacting with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other jobsite personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides direct day-to-day leadership and supervision to assigned precast wall installation crews.
Assigns work and monitors the safety, quality, productivity, and completion of assigned tasks.
Trains and coaches employees regarding precast erection procedures, job duties, equipment use, and company safety requirements.
Ensures employees understand the day's erection sequence, individual responsibilities, and potential hazards before work begins.
Monitors employee attendance, performance, productivity, safety, and conduct.
Addresses routine field concerns and communicates significant employee relations or disciplinary matters to management and/or Human Resources.
Promotes a professional, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience with precast concrete wall erection and installation required.
Previous Foreman, Lead, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of precast wall panels, erection sequences, temporary bracing, connections, and installation practices.
Knowledge of rigging practices and safe lifting operations involving precast concrete components.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, erection drawings, blueprints, specifications, and installation details.
Knowledge of construction layout, elevations, measurements, and tolerances.
Familiarity with cranes, telehandlers, aerial lifts, forklifts, rigging equipment, and other equipment commonly used during precast erection.
Knowledge of applicable construction safety requirements, including fall protection, struck-by hazards, suspended loads, and heavy equipment safety.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively direct a field crew and coordinate work with multiple trades and contractors.
Ability to identify installation or quality issues and communicate concerns promptly.
Ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions, schedules, and project requirements.
Ability to complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely.
Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record may be required based on job responsibilities.
Required equipment, rigging, signal person, aerial lift, forklift, or other certifications/training must be maintained when applicable to assigned responsibilities.
Physical Requirements

Wear all required PPE, which may include a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, high-visibility clothing, safety-toe footwear, fall protection, and other equipment as required.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed outdoors on active construction jobsites.
Employee may be exposed to heat, cold, rain, humidity, wind, dust, noise, concrete materials, and changing weather conditions.
Work is frequently performed around cranes, telehandlers, forklifts, trucks, aerial lifts, heavy equipment, rigging operations, and large precast concrete wall panels.
The position involves working around suspended loads and active erection operations and requires strict compliance with established safety procedures.
Work may be performed at elevated heights and require the use of fall-protection systems.
Travel to various jobsites is required.
The position may require early mornings, overtime, weekends, or schedule changes depending on project requirements and erection schedules.
